Autel Robotics USA debuts today at CES 2016, LVCC 25202 with its first line of consumer drones, the X‑Star series. The team will also show a prototype of the Kestral fixed-wing vertical take-off and landing drone.

The X‑Star series has three models: the X‑Star Premium ($999), the X‑Star ($799), and the X‑Star Go ($599), each compatible with a mobile app for iOS and Android. The X‑Star Premium features:

X‑Star Premium

  • 4K UHD camera and 3-axis gimbal
  • 720p HD live view with a 1.25-mile range, via video downlink
  • Starpoint Positioning System
  • SecureFly magnetic field interference protection
  • LCD-screen remote controller
  • Comes in white and orange
  • Comes with: 14.8V LiPo battery, fast charger, 64GB card, hard case

The X‑Star has a 4K camera with a 0.62-mile range via Wi‑Fi video streaming, and the X‑Star Go carries a GoPro HERO4 and provides in-flight camera controls through the mobile app.

The fixed-wing, vertical takeoff and landing Kestrel prototype will also be on display at the Autel Robotics USA booth. The Kestrel is the most efficient electric VTOL UAS in the world, and it is primarily intended for agricultural and humanitarian applications. The Kestrel has an approximate 1.2 to two-hour flight time, an 11.5-feet wingspan, and can travel up to 62 miles.
